Today adidas unveils the new FUSSBALLIEBE Official Match Ball for UEFA EURO 2024 TM. With a tournament slogan of United by football. United by passion – FUSSBALL VERBINDET, the new ball is designed to represent and reinforce the values of unity and love of the game.
FUSSBALLLIEBE translates to "love of football" and the design of the ball encapsulates this sentiment through its vibrant and colorful graphics. Black and red are prominent colors on the ball, paying homage to the host nation Germany’s flag and national colors.
At the heart of the design is the idea of unity. The ball features the traditional 3-Bar logo which is a globally recognized symbol of adidas. The ball also features the UEFA EURO 2024 logo with the trophy featuring as part of the design. Across the panels, you can see the phrase "GERMANY 2024" which leaves no doubt amongst the players and fans as to where this tournament is taking place. The typography on the ball is inspired by the Bauhaus movement which had a strong association with Germany and contributed to the nation's rich design heritage.
The FUSSBALLLIEBE is not just a symbol of unity and passion, but also a symbol of quality and innovation. The ball uses adidas' latest ball technology, including the "Speedshell" which is made up of 20 hexagonal and 12 pentagonal panels and provides a seamless surface for optimal ball control and accuracy.
