The Amiri Diwan of Qatar has officially announced the Eid Al Fitr holiday dates for 2023. The holiday will commence on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. The holiday will conclude on Thursday, April 27, 2023, for all ministries, government agencies, and public institutions.

The announcement was made on April 16, 2023, and is in line with the sighting of the crescent moon of Shawwal, which signifies the end of Ramadan and the beginning of the new Islamic month. The sighting of the crescent moon was confirmed by the Crescent Sighting Committee at the Ministry of Endowments, Awqaf, and Islamic Affairs.

During the Eid Al Fitr holiday, ministries, other government agencies, and public institutions will be closed. Employees are expected to return to work on Sunday, April 30, 2023. The holiday period is intended to allow families and communities to celebrate Eid Al Fitr with traditional festivities, prayers, and gatherings.

The Amiri Diwan's announcement is in accordance with the country's labor laws and regulations, which provide for official holidays during religious and cultural festivals. The Eid Al Fitr holiday is a significant event in Qatar, providing an opportunity for families and communities to come together and celebrate the end of Ramadan.
